Terms and Conditions
Effective date: April 8, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the ConfirmEvents platform operated at confirm.events ("we," "us," or "the Service"). By accessing or using ConfirmEvents, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- "Organizer" means any user or organization that creates and manages events on the platform.
- "Guest" means any person who registers for, RSVPs to, or attends an event through the platform.
- "Account" means a registered user account on ConfirmEvents.
- "Organization" means a team workspace created on the platform, consisting of one or more members with assigned roles.
2. Account Registration and Security
2.1. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
2.2. You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. If you are creating an account on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2.3. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@confirm.events if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use ConfirmEvents to:
- Create events for illegal activities or events that promote violence, discrimination, or harassment
- Collect guest data for purposes unrelated to the event (e.g., selling contact lists to third parties)
- Send unsolicited bulk messages (spam) through SMS or email integrations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or platform infrastructure
- Upload malicious files, inject code, or interfere with the operation of the Service
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with an organization
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. Event Organizer Responsibilities
4.1. Organizers are solely responsible for the content of their events, including descriptions, imagery, ticket pricing, and any information communicated to guests.
4.2. Organizers are responsible for the lawful collection and use of guest data gathered through their events. This includes having a valid legal basis (such as consent) for collecting personal information like names, email addresses, phone numbers, dietary needs, and accessibility requirements.
4.3. Organizers must not use guest data for purposes beyond event management unless they have obtained separate, explicit consent from the guest.
4.4. Organizers are responsible for configuring third-party integrations (Stripe, Twilio, Resend) within their organizations. ConfirmEvents facilitates these integrations but is not liable for issues arising from the organizer's configuration or use of those services.
4.5. Organizers must ensure their events comply with all applicable local, state, and national laws, including those relating to data protection, consumer rights, and event permits.
5. Guest Data Handling
5.1. Guest registration data is collected on behalf of the event organizer. ConfirmEvents processes this data as a service provider to the organizer.
5.2. Guests may contact the event organizer directly with questions about how their data is used. Guests may also contact ConfirmEvents at privacy@confirm.events for data access or deletion requests.
5.3. For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Payments and Fees
6.1. Ticketed events use Stripe for payment processing. Organizers connect their own Stripe accounts to receive payments directly. ConfirmEvents does not hold or transfer funds on behalf of organizers.
6.2. Stripe's own terms of service and fee structure apply to all payment transactions. Organizers are responsible for understanding and accepting Stripe's terms.
6.3. Refund policies for ticketed events are determined by the event organizer. ConfirmEvents does not process refunds directly; organizers handle refunds through their Stripe accounts.
6.4. ConfirmEvents may introduce platform fees in the future. Any such fees will be communicated to users with at least 30 days' notice before taking effect.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1. ConfirmEvents retains all rights to the platform, including its design, code, features, and branding. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.
7.2. Organizers retain ownership of the content they upload (event descriptions, images, logos). By uploading content, you grant ConfirmEvents a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute that content as necessary to operate the Service (e.g., rendering event pages, sending confirmation emails).
7.3. This license terminates when you delete the content or your account, except where the content has been shared with or viewed by guests prior to deletion.
8. Service Availability
8.1. We strive to keep ConfirmEvents available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
8.2. We may perform scheduled maintenance, deploy updates, or experience downtime due to factors beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance in advance.
8.3. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ConfirmEvents and its team members, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
9.2. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, revenue, goodwill, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9.3. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to ConfirmEvents (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9.4. ConfirmEvents is not responsible for the actions, content, or policies of event organizers. Disputes between organizers and guests should be resolved directly between those parties.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ConfirmEvents and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
11. Termination
11.1. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@confirm.events. Upon closure, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11.2. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to other users, the platform, or third parties.
11.3. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Limitation of Liability), 10 (Indemnification), and 13 (Governing Law) survive termination.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ConfirmEvents operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
